Financial Benefits:

The Azerbaijan Government Scholarships 2024-25 provide comprehensive support for international students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. Here's what the scholarship covers:

1. Tuition Fee

s:

   - Covers tuition fees and language preparatory courses (as per the language of instruction) for the entire duration of undergraduate, graduate, general medicine, medical residency, or doctoral studies.

2. International Flights:

   - Includes an international economy class flight ticket to Baku, Azerbaijan (from the country of origin) and return flight tickets from Azerbaijan to the country of origin, once per academic year.

3. Monthly Allowance:

   - Recipients receive a monthly allowance of 800 AZN (approximately 470 USD) to cover accommodation, daily expenses, and educational materials for 10 months each year (excluding July and August).

4. Medical Insurance:

   - Provides a yearly allowance of 200 AZN (approximately 117 USD) for medical care and medication during the entire study period in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Note:

- The privileges and payments mentioned under Part 3 (Scholarship Benefits) are applicable only for the duration of each program described in Part 2 (Educational Levels).

5. Visa Registration:

   - Grants a single-entry visa to the Republic of Azerbaijan and a temporary residence permit for the duration of each academic year.

A variety of academic fields and majors are available at universities in Azerbaijan under this scholarship program. 20 universities are participating in this initiative, offering programs at different educational levels:

- General Medicine Program: 5 to 6 years

Eligibility Criteria:

- All international applicants are welcome to apply. However, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan or individuals whose citizenship in the Republic of Azerbaijan has been terminated are not eligible for the scholarship.

- For Undergraduate and general medicine programs, applicants must be under 35 years of age.

- For Masters and residency programs, applicants must be under 40 years of age.

- For PhD Degree programs, applicants must be under 45 years of age.

Selection & Result:

- Initial review of relevant documents.

- Online interviews conducted via Skype or other platforms.

- Results will be announced by the end of July 2024.

Documents Required:

- Completed nomination form (for the first stage of the application process).

- Diplomas or transcripts from prior high school or university studies.

- Copy of passport.

- Document verifying general health status, including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, and C tests.

- Curriculum vitae (CV) or resume.

- Motivation letter.

- Proof of English proficiency (not mandatory but recommended: for programs in foreign languages, for undergraduate programs: IELTS 5, TOEFL 40; for other programs: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 50).

Application Deadline:

The last date to apply for the Azerbaijan International Scholarships 2024-25 for International Students is 20th May 2024.

How to Apply for Azerbaijan Government Scholarships:

To initiate the application process, candidates must receive official nomination from the Ministries or Embassies of Azerbaijan in their respective countries. Applications submitted directly will not be considered. Refer to the Official Advertisement for further details, accessible through the provided link.

Applicants are required to submit the necessary documents to the relevant Embassy in their country within the specified timeline. The deadline for submission is May 20, 2024, by 6 PM Baku time.

If candidates receive official nomination from their respective government authorities, they will progress to the second stage of the application process. They must then apply through study portal from June 16 to July 1, 2024. Upon logging in to the SIACAS website, applicants must select the appropriate Admission channel ("Heydar Aliyev – International Education Grant" program) to proceed with their application.

Candidates have the option to choose up to 2 degree programs at different higher educational institutions in the Republic of Azerbaijan through the relevant channel. Applicants can monitor the status of their applications and receive notifications for subsequent stages through the SIACAS platform. Notifications will also be accessible within the applicant's personal account. The SIACAS website will be open for application registration from June 16, 2024, commencing at 12 AM, until July 1 at 6 PM Baku time. Candidates holding multiple nationalities may submit only one application, aligned with one of the eligible nations listed in the Call for Applications (Annex 2). The application must correspond to the nationality nominated by the relevant state bodies. Only applications officially nominated by their respective countries in the first stage will undergo evaluation for the Scholarship program.
