Scholarships for Non-Saudi Students at King Faisal University
Introduction:
In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with King Faisal University's Deanship of Postgraduate Studies, offers scholarships to non-Saudi students, both male and female, for pursuing higher education in the country.
King Faisal University (KFU), situated in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, has been a bastion of academic excellence since its establishment in 1975. Named in honor of King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the university has been steadfast in its commitment to advancing education and knowledge. Types of Scholarships:
There are two types of scholarships available:
1. Internal Scholarships: Designed for students already residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
2. External Scholarships: Open to non-residents of Saudi Arabia.
Funding:
Scholarships may cover partial or complete expenses, depending on the regulations of the respective higher education institution.
Requirements for Acceptance:
1. Applicants for both internal and external scholarships must meet the same admission criteria applicable to Saudi students.
2. Additional conditions include:
- The applicant's age should not exceed 30 years for master's programs and 35 years for Ph.D. programs. Exceptions may be considered by the institution council.
- Approval from the applicant's government for studying in Saudi Arabia, especially if their home government requires official endorsement for Saudis studying in their countries.
- Applicants cannot concurrently apply for or receive grants from other Saudi institutions.
- Submission of duly documented certificates and transcripts as per Saudi institutions' requirements.
- Applicants should not have been dismissed by any other Saudi institutions.
Internal Mission Program Requirements:
For the internal mission program, applicants must adhere to the following:
- Obtain consent on their study plan.
- Be a resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Applications can be submitted through:
1. Saudi embassies and consulates abroad.
2. Higher Education Institutions in Saudi Arabia.
3. Online application via the portal of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies at King Faisal University.

General Regulations:
