Stipend: 143,000 to 145,000 Yen/month
Living Allowance: 2000 – 3000 Yen/month

Abstracts of Thesis
For abstracts of the thesis, abstracts of the graduation thesis, and any presented papers will be acceptable. These abstracts will be used as basic data for the evaluation of the applicant’s academic ability. Make sure the applicant’s name is on the first page of the abstracts.

The applicant’s photograph to be attached to the Application Form should be of clear quality, taken within six months of submission, and printed on paper specially for photographs. The photograph should be 4.5 x 3.5 cm. upper-body, full-faced, no hats. Please write the applicant’s name and nationality on the back of the photograph. The photograph data can be pasted onto the Application Form and printed out.

Important Guidelines
A health certificate is not required at the time of application submission.
The documents should be in the same order as mentioned on the webpage and should be kept unstapled. You can combine them with a paper clip.
All documents should be A4 size.
Application forms can either be typed written or handwritten.
All copies of university transcripts and degrees should be attested by the relevant university. They will also accept documents that have been attested by HEC.
It is not necessary to contact any Japanese university or professor at this time.
They will only contact candidates who get shortlisted for the written exam. If you do not receive any email or call from us by the end of June, it means that your application was not shortlisted.
Due to the immense number of applications, we cannot confirm receipt of any particular application. Furthermore, the Embassy cannot give an explanation or reason for any application’s rejection.
The application documents can be posted through any courier service.
They will accept applications that will reach us by 10th May 2024. All late applications will be discarded.
